The first 2 bars are based on real bird song melody (probably a blackbird) heard often in my garden at Drysdale (Victoria - Australia) in spring. This easy miniature is suited to a small ensemble of 4 or 5 woodwind plus 2 violins and a cello, or more of each, of course! | |
