Léo Delibes was a French ballet music composer. His music is tuneful, and his orchestration is interesting and harmonious. This brought him great success in his day, and his pleasant and romantic works are still enormously popular today.

His most famous work is his ballet "Coppélia", closely followed by another ballet, "Sylvia", and an opera "Lakmé".
