Tips on using Musical Discovery
a. Press the F1 function key to get context-sensitive help on most screens.
b. If a note sticks, go to the menu, Midi Features – Midi Reset. If this does not stop stuck notes, you may need to stop and restart Musical Discovery. If you have an external Sound Module, you may need to switch it off then on again.
c.
To exit most screens,
click the pink Back
button at top left. Otherwise, use the standard Windows X
at top right of the screen, just below the X close button for the whole Musical Discovery program.
d. To change the sound card in use, if you have more than one, go to the menu Midi Features – Setup Midi, and select a different Midi device for output and for input if desired.
e. You can read all the help screens by browsing the help contents in the left panel of any help screen. This is in alphabetical order.
f. You can print out extra copies of these notes from the SetupInstructions.doc file, which is in Microsoft Word format on the CD.
